Bakery Shop Assistant

La Torta di Camilla is looking for a warm, energetic and reliable person to join our growing team in Amsterdam.

This is much more than a barista position. We are looking for someone who will become my right hand and play a key role in the daily life of the bakery.

What you'll do

• Welcome customers and create a warm experience in the shop

• Serve coffee, cakes and pastries

• Handle sales and customer enquiries

• Take and manage incoming orders

• Keep track of collection and delivery orders

• Ensure all cakes and orders are correctly prepared and ready on time

• Support the daily operations of the bakery

• Work closely with the founder on a day-to-day basis

• Able to stay organised and keep multiple tasks under control

• Proactive and always one step ahead

• Reliable and detail-oriented

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Happy to take ownership and responsibility

Requirements

• Excellent English (required)

• Dutch is a strong plus

• Driving licence required

• Previous experience in hospitality, cafés, bakeries or customer-facing roles is preferred

• Ability to prepare and serve coffee
